The Nasdaq Stock Market, (listen) also known as Nasdaq or NASDAQ, is an American stock exchange at One Liberty Plaza in New York City. It is ranked second on the list of stock exchanges by market capitalization of shares traded, behind the New York Stock Exchange. The exchange platform is owned by Nasdaq, Inc., which also owns the Nasdaq Nordic stock market network and several U.S. stock and options exchanges.

Nasdaq has been a target of short sellers for a while. The current short interest of 1.09% is roughly at the average of the last 12 months (1.40%).
